Peugeot 308 RC-Z

Peugeot 308 RC-Z concept was introduced at the Frankfurt show back in 2007 and it will be mass produced by May 2010. This cool car is a front-wheel drive vehicle equipped with a Mini Cooper JCW 1.6 turbo unit that able to provide 218bhp. The concept and the mass produced car has a slight differences in the headlight design and the exterior body curve.

The interior of this unique car has a sophisticated design and a polycarbonate roof with twin bubbles to increase headroom. The cockpit is trimmed in leather, chrome, aluminum and black-lacquered plastic.

This Peugeot concept car power is provided by the same 1.6-litre 163kW/218hp direct injection four cylinder that can be found in the Mini Cooper. Peugeot 308 RC-Z is relatively lightweight and should be capable of decent turn of speed.

I photographed this at SEMA, but the lighting was so lousy there, and these turned out much better, at the Grand National Roadster show they appreciate space around the cars to allow for photogrpahy, and it keeps people from getting close and touching the cars, without stantions and ropes. I didn't see, that this is owned by ZZ top guitarist and hot rod driving force Billy Gibbons. I mean that Billy funded a lot of customs being built and they way that they look, the work that inspired many enthusiasts. Cadzilla, Eliminator, the pair of motorcycles, the album cover art of the ZZ Top albums in the late 80's.. .. wow

wow, double roller chain for steering, that had to solve some clearance problems!

Blows my mind, the shifter handle, the punched holes, the switches, the instruments alone are stunning, the steering yoke is phenomenal... what a great dash!
