The Dean Moon designed "Bonneville Boss" transporter, and mocked up 1976 land speed record rocket vehicle that were built to tour and raise money for the real thing to be built and run at Bonneville... it never came about though. 30 years in storage and now it bounces around at auctions.

Above via: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/01/23/barrett-jackson-2010-the-blastolene-indy-special/ the Blastolene Indy Special was for sale for about a year or so at Symbolic in San Diego, and I photographed it a couple of times. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/04/blastolene-daytona-special-and-indy.html Looks like no one ever wanted to shell out the 1/4 million or so it would have taken to buy it, so it went to auction, and it sold for $280,500. Jay's tank car trivia

You probably already knew the Blastolene brothers put in an engine from a M47 patton tank, but I just read in the Nov. 2009 Mens Journal that it's first public debut was as a hidden driveable vehicle in Gran Turismo 4

Piss'd off Pete, the newest creation of Randy Grubb, Blastolene Brother / creator / designer extraordinaire!

What a nice guy! He was chatting with everyone about his designs and vehicles he's made, showing sketches and collaborations with the other Blastolene Brothers
Space was very limited to get a good side photo for a overall look, so go to: http://www.blastolene.com/pissd.html

Wow, I love the saddle bags and leather seats... what a cool touch

It is currently still ready to sell, and you should think about the fun you'd have cruising with this to Goodguys shows, your local neighborhood car shows, and Power Tour! To get an email to Randy, use RandyGrubb@blastolene.com
To look at most of the other Blastolene vehicles, see: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/Blastolene

1100 cubic inches, 12 cylinders, 1200 horsepower.... that oughta do

http://rodneyrucker.com/album/slides/landspeedcar1.html
From the Goodguys Gazette page 88, I saw the 28 ft long boattailed speedster powered by a Packard PT boat engine... called the “Blastolene Daytona Special” roadster

On a side note Rodney bought two of the great movie cars from the 1964 movie with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Natalie Wood "The Great Race" : The Great Leslie and the Hannibal Twin 8 http://www.ci.concord.nc.us/greatrace_2.asp

From reading the Goodguys Gazette, Feb '08, I was reminded of the Blastolene Brothers

Page 20 had a photo of the "French Curve" but the Gazette isn't online, although here's a news article and gallery of several of the creations of the Blastolene Brothers http://www.good-guys.com/news/newsStory.aspx?newsid=798 so I looked around, and found that http://rockindownthehighway.blogspot.com/ has been at car shows with both the "French Curve" and the chopped and bobbed Peterbuilt "Sneaky Pete" in the Gazette on page 99 and http://rockindownthehighway.blogspot.com/2007/09/rockin-great-time-at-billetproof-07_25.html
A really thorough article on the Blastolene Brothers: Rodney Rucker, Micheal Leeds, and Randy Grubb http://www.miramarevents.com/dreammachines/blastolene-brothers.html
and if you're in the Lowe's Motor Speedway area between April 3-6 http://www.lowesmotorspeedway.com/news_photos/news/528812.html
For a big gallery on the Sneaky Pete http://jalopnik.com/384025/blastolene-special-creator-at-it-again-with-sneaky-pete Jalopnik contibutors ran a post on Apr 25... a month after I ran this post... So I'm taking credit for bringing it to their attention! (Yup, ego trip in progress)
