What's with California Senator Lowenthal? He wants to eliminate free parking in California,... yeah, WTF??

And eliminate free parking http://www.lbpost.com/ryan/8196 in the whole state of California, now isn't that jsut a new tax on cars... requiring them to pay to park everywhere, every time? How the hell can anyone with a real job pay for that, 'cause I gaurantee Senators don't pay for the gass hog vehicles they drive, are driven in, are flown in, or the fuel that moves the free gas hogs they are provided, nor do they have to pay for parking. But they are consistant in trying to eliminate any fun you can have with yours.

"Lowenthal reiterated his point that free parking is free only to the person parking, where the costs of parking lot construction and maintenance are passed on in the form of higher prices for goods and lower wages for employees. Lowenthal views the bill as a tool to encourage cities and counties to examine ways to manage their parking in order to meet regulations that they will be forced to adhere to by 2020. Inventing planned obsolescence, that didn't turn out so well for GM.

It is with sad irony that the company which invented "planned obsolescence"—the decision to build cars that would fall apart after a few years so that the customer would then have to buy a new one—has now made itself obsolete.
It refused to build automobiles that the public wanted, cars that got great gas mileage, were as safe as they could be, and were exceedingly comfortable to drive. Oh—and that wouldn't start falling apart after two years.
GM stubbornly fought environmental and safety regulations. Its executives arrogantly ignored the "inferior" Japanese and German cars, cars which would become the gold standard for automobile buyers.
Beginning in the 1980s, when GM was posting record profits, it moved countless jobs to Mexico and elsewhere, thus destroying the lives of tens of thousands of hard-working Americans. The glaring stupidity of this policy was that, when they eliminated the income of so many middle-class families, who did they think was going to be able to afford to buy their cars? ... Chrysler advertising tried really hard to hold onto the Hemi for advertising, it's sad

It's a success, and that means nothing changed, most everyone was already speeding, and not having accidents, and they are still going about the same speed without accidents.

Ergo, we're going to drive the way we drive regardless of posted speed limits, duh. Put more cops on the road and watch us slow down though.

This is a scam, because: this job looks fine, but the method of payment is a check that is for a large amount, and from that large check that you have to cash, the scammer wants a part, and you pay for all the incidentals like the rental car etc.

Families of people killed and injured due to defective GM and Chrysler vehicular parts and products. One guy on the news lost his legs to a fire caused by a plastic brake cylinder. An ABC news camerman died when during a roll over, the roof collapsed of his SUV.

This time, the bankruptcy laws are written so that injured and dead people's lawsuits will be treated as equal to any other creditor that is owed money my GM and Chrysler, and never see a dime.
